Islamic Medical Association of Nigeria in collaboration with some Muslim organizations distributed food items worth One million two hundred and forty Naira
(N1.240,000.00) as relief materials to less privileged members of the society at the IMAN School in Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano. The items included 10 bags of rice and 20 bags of beans.
Coordinator of the coalition, Malam Hassan Usman and Vice Ameer of IMAN AKTH said the items came in good time as many people are struggling to make
ends meet while some lost their businesses due to the Covid 19 pandemic. He thanked the organizations for the gesture and enjoined others to emulate.
The Chairman of the distribution Committee, Malam Abubakar Mijinyawa and welfare Secretary of IMAN AKTH expressed gratitude to the contributors as well as the beneficiaries for their maturity during the distribution exercise. He said that a total of 316 people, (150 men and 166 women) benefitted from the items.
The Chairperson of Federation of Muslim Women Association (FOMWAN), Kano Hajiya Binta Muhammad Abubakar disclosed that the funds for the purchase of the food items were sourced from the
IMAN, National Office and the FOMWAN Kano State Chapter.
